Dontyne Proves Benefits on Non-Involute Designs


Dontyne has published the results of some recent R&D in this years Transmission Technology Magazine. The work on non-Involute designs necessitated custom software development and the design and construction of custom back-to-back test rig for testing ratios 2.5 to 3.5 common in EV designs. The results of the work shows non-Involute can have several times the durability of Involute design, but an alternative approach would be to reduce weight for the same life.
