Dontyne Presents at Reishauer Forum 2025, Toyohashi and Shinagawa, Japan
Dontyne was proud to be invited once again to present at the Reishauer Forum in Japan. Our thanks go to Mr. a’Marca, Mr. Tsuyama, and their team for the opportunity and the gracious company over the days of the event. As always the arrangements were impeccable and it is a pleasure doing business with them, and in Japan generally. We have presented at each Forum held since 2009 and, once again, over the period of each day there was a formidable set of presentations from Reishauer engineers on the state of the industry and the cutting edge development of Reishauer machine tools for gear production. Another guest was Dr. Tobie of FZG who gave an excellent presentation on High-Speed EV Drivetrains. The Dontyne presentation was on the news Gear Production Suite 5.8.1 Release out this month. All the elements of the new and improved features since the last Forum were presented. This included updates to the ISO 6336 Standard, improvements to the GUI for better user experience, LTCA in the Hypoid designer, and multiple improvements in hobbing, grinding, skiving, honing, and shaving simulation tools as well as the improvement to the 5-axis CNC simulation for cylindrical and bevel gears.
The new development has included the stand alone systems Dontyne Integrated Gear Gauging System (DIGGS) and Dontyne On Machine Measuring System (DOMMS) for integration to measuring devices. The systems not only operate independently of GPS but the measurement data can be used by several GPS functions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
